Proceed with Caution....Hats are extremely HOTTTTTTTT!

I love Hothead Originals. The designs are trendy, and this necessary accessory provides sun protection. Now that's fashion sense.

A. Magdalena chats with HOTHEAD ORIGINALS

*designer: Hothead Originals
*uniqueness: Hothead Originals is a custom-designed visor line with a US Design Patent. It is a fashion visor line for adults and children that offers sun protection with style. The brim and headband is custom-sized for more sun protection than the average sport visor. We tried to keep it fun by choosing unique fabrics and colors. The details include a wide brim design, signature pink stitching, hand-selected fabrics and custom details (i.e. zipper on visor band).

What is your hometown ?
*Honolulu, Hawaii

When did you get started making accessories ?
*A few years ago.

How did you come up with the name HotHead?
*We wanted something catchy and fun so we came up with Hothead Originals.

Do you take custom orders?
*We do not customize orders at this time but will eventually offer visors with your name embroidered onto it.

Why did you start making your own accessories ?
*As you know, the sun causes irreversible damage to your skin. Living in Hawaii, we are into sun protection (and style). We wanted a visor for everyday wear but did not find anything to our liking. So, we sat down and started to sketch some ideas. The rest is history, as they say. We worked on it part-time while still keeping our full-time job at an architectural firm. It took us several years to design, patent and manufacture our product line.

Where do you gain inspiration from ?
*We were inspired by "use and look" of our favorite pair of jeans. It was a piece of clothing that was "tried and true" and something that we wore (almost) everyday.

Who are your favorite designers ?
*We love all designers! We especially love unique products that are well-designed and reflect much thought put into it.

Where can we buy your merchandise?
*You can purchase our products through our website at www.hotheadoriginals.com
*We are currently building our "official" website but our current website will take you to our "temporary" cartfly store with Paypal checkout (secured shopping).

Do you have formal training in designing ?
*We do not have formal design training in fashion. Our formal training is in architecture.

How can you be contacted ?
*You can contact us via email at: hotheadoriginals@yahoo.com
or in my space at www.myspace.com/hotheadoriginals

Introducing AccessoRehab!

I am obsessed with accessories. Earrings are my absolute favorite. The bigger, the better, the badder. I am always searching for earrings that no one else has. So in my search I came across AccessoRehab. AccessoRehab is the product of the creative mind of one Mz. Nikki. I love her designs so much I even bought my sister a pair for her birthday. My sister said everyone wanted to know where she got her earrings. I check out the new designs all the time and it just keeps getting better. Many of Mz. Nikki's designs are one of a kind, so rest assured that you will not see another rocking your earrings. But as a word of warning, if you don't like a lot of attention or people stopping you on the street, these are not the earrings for you! But if you are a diva, bossy, prima donna, or a show stopper, then go ahead and indulge in AccessoRehab.

Mz. Nikki and A. Magdalena chat about AccessoRehab

When did you get started making accessories ? I started in November 2006

How did you come up with the name AccessoRehab? It started as ColorRehab since my stuff is so colorful and bold but people kept thinking I was a make up artist, so I had to switch it to AccessoRehab

Do you take custom orders? Yes, with a good deadline and as much details about the wanted item as possible

Why did you start making your own accessories ? Well I love and only wear large earrings, and I love bizarre stuff, and I could only find what I liked in New York. I didn't wanna spend hundreds on earrings though, so I thought, why can't I make my own!? And so I did!

Where do you gain inspiration from ? Sometimes it's simply from browsing supply stores, sometimes a print or pattern I see. Just whatever. Sometimes I just have a feeling like if I don't create somethin at that moment, I'm gonna pop! Who knows where that comes from!

Who are your favorite designers ? I have none. Honestly I don't pay attention to designer names. I just like whatever looks good. It can come from Nordstrom, or it can come from Target.

Do you have formal training in designing ? Nope, but I have always been in art schools and I'm naturally a creative thinker and designer;)

The Etsy Files

I am not in a good mood. My neighbor's dog has been barking for two hours non stop. I kept trying to turn over because I thought I was dreaming. But no! It was reality. Poor dog. The family went on vacation and left the dog at home. But on a happier note I found these cool Oragami crane earrings by Etsy member nylonthread, and guess what they are under $15.00

Operator : Hello, how may I direct your call ?

Me : I need help!

Operator: What seems to be the problem?

Me: I have an addiction.

Operator : Do you need the paramedics ?

Me: No, just the 1800 number for the Etsy addicts!

Though the above conversation is fiction, at the rate I'm going it could happen one day soon!

Fabulous Finds

What can $20.00 really buy you these days ? Well here in California you can get approximately four gallons of gas, or maybe lunch for one. Better yet why not save money on gas visit Mdbdesigns and get this great handcrafted clutch. The featured Jillian Clutch measures 6.5 x 12 3/4 in, and is constructed of sturdy denim. It reminds me of the denim overalls of my childhood. The best part is this clutch is affordable. Why not carpool with a friend, save gas, and the money you could have used for gas, could go towards this fab clutch.
